We had a fantastic time at the Costa Brava Jazz Festival in Spain with the Full Circle Acoustic Electric Band, featuring Tom Zink, Doug Webb, and Joel Taylor. I want to thank Svetlana, Alexey, Anastasia, Olga, and all of the great people from the Costa Brava Jazz festival. I also want to thank Andrey, Maria, and the fantastic staff and crew at the Mas Filet Hotel. What a stunning place! After the Costa Brava Jazz Festival went to Bern Switzerland and played for a week at Marian's Jazzroom in the Innere Enge Hotel. What a fantastic place, great people, and such an amazing history honoring the Giants of jazz. If you are a jazz fan you should check out the Innere Enge Hotel, it is a jazz themed hotel where all of the rooms are decked out in memorabilia of the legends of this music. Thank you Hans and Benny for inviting us to play there for a week, can't wait for the next time!
Our next set of dates are in California, right in the middle of the state. October 12 we are at the legendary Yoshi's in Jack London Square in Oakland, truly one of the premier jazz clubs in the world, then we play at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz, the heart and soul of the classic Monterey Jazz Festival. I have played there a few times with other artists and have always had a great time, but playing my own music there will be a thrill!
Then we are off to the Clearwater Jazz Holiday on October 15 in Clearwater Florida. I have played the festival twice before and have had amazing experiences there. It's incredible playing your music to 15,000-20,000 people! That's doesn't happen everyday in the world of jazz, that's for sure.
